As a family law attorney, Elissa strives to represent her clients in a compassionate and professional manner while helping them navigate through what are often some of the most trying and emotional times in their lives. Elissa is committed to being the type of attorney who can be counted upon to clarify and explain all of the options available, so her clients can make informed decisions towards the successful resolution of their matters. Her Master’s in Counseling Psychology makes her particularly well-equipped to assist clients with creative problem solving, while also prioritizing their individual needs and goals.

Elissa focuses her practice on all aspects of family and matrimonial law, including divorce proceedings and post-divorce matters, custody, visitation, alimony, child support, division of assets, prenuptial agreements, adoption, and domestic violence.

Education and Experience

Elissa received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Northwestern University. She worked exclusively in family law concurrently with earning both her Master’s in Counseling from Montclair State University, and her Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University. She served as a law clerk to the Honorable David B. Katz, Presiding Judge of the Essex County Family Part, as well as for two Essex County Assignment Judges – the Honorable Sallyanne Floria and the Honorable Sheila Venable.

Elissa is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA), and the Union County Bar Association.

When Elissa is not in the office you can find her spending time outside and staying active, experimenting in the kitchen, and cheering on the New York Giants and Georgia Bulldogs.
